AMD Athlon XP 2500+ overclocked to 2.2ghz

3GB RAM

4x 250GB RAID0 array

GeForce 6800

That's the basics. Got a bunch of optical drives and hard drive enclosures that get swapped in and out as I need them.

Pentium 4 Prescott 3.06 with HyperThreading.

1 Gigabyte of Dual Channel DDR-400

1 200 GB + 2 160 GB HD.

Since gaming isn't a priority in life, I just upgraded from a geforce 4 (which was screwing up my comp) to a MSI GeForce 6600GT.  Quite a bit of an upgrade. Smiley

And other features include:

A 480 watt power supply.

A NEC 16X Dual Layer DVD-RW drive.

A Tsunami Dreamcase by Thermaltake.

A Logitech MX700 wireless mouse (time for an upgrade) and a Saitek Eclipse backlit Keyboard.

Time for an audio card and some 5.1 speakers.

Everyone has fast computers, but you should also specify internet: Cable, DSL, 56K?

Your computer is fine, just throw some more RAM in and get a hard drive enclosure.

Anyway, I've got a 3mb cable connection.  Dunno the up speed off the top of my head.

Yeah, JediMasterMonkey,

I made a bunch of short films on my OLD pc, and it was slower than yours.  Specs you say?

Pentium 3 @ 866 Mhz,

128 Megabytes of RAM (I upgraded to 256 later),

18 GB HD,

A CD reader, and a 3 1/2 inch floppy drive.[

56k in ALASKA.

I actually found it to be not that hard once I bought a firewire card, bought an external harddrive enclosure for 20 bucks, and a 200 GB HD for 150 bucks.

It IS possible, you just have to have the determination and patience.  Cheesy

L8r folks!

As an interesting note on my computer, it's my entire media center.  I watch TV on it, use it as a TiVo, use it for video games (in 480p with my Xbox, whoo), use it as my stereo, I've got it hooked up to a 5.1 system, and it's got a radio tuner, on top of all the other nice stuff a computer does.  It's neat, and saves a lot of space in my room.

I have the processor but no RAM, therefore, I must upgrade and soon.  I could use 5.1, but my computer isn't my full media center.  I have like...a wall unit.
