The XBOX 3 is said to have 3 liquid cooled processors.

It beats the PS3, as I understand it.

Also, it has 512 megs of video RAM.

Sad

As it is, I'm a PC boy.  I guess I'll just still do that.

Can't wait for the Dual core Athlon 64's to come out!! (sometime in June)

Gentlemen, I give you:

The Nintendo Revolution (no real concrete specs yet, unfortunately), and The Xbox360, with specs.

As it is, the PS3 has a bit more raw power than the X360, but it's a difficult call.  From all reports, they both outpower the Revolution.  The rule of thumb that I've heard is that the 360 is about 10-15 times more powerful than the Xbox, the PS3 is about 35 times as powerful as the PS2, and the Rev is about three times as powerful as the GC.

EDIT:  Oh, by the way.  Teraflops.

The font on the PS3 is the same as the Spiderman font.  Shocked

EDIT: I suppose there is the Sony connection.

This is more of a social topic. Moving. Sounds very cool for a gaming system though. So does the new XBOX though Smiley

Wow. wow. and blah (blah is for nintendo).

I can't really decide.

The sony machine really seems pretty awesome. The fact that it's running SLI with two Geforce 6800's (i wonder though if they would compare to two of those in a PC and if it'slike the GT or the ultra..) While the Xbox is running the ATI hardware (which is a glimpse obviously of what ATI is gonna release for the PC. I'm guessing ATI's next offering for the PC is gonna be a single card wonder that has the power of two 6800 SLI  cards.... and that you can SLI those to get an insane amount of power).

Aside from being a filmmaker, I am an intense computer nerd and love totings specs around and such and tweak, overclock, ect my computer.

These peices are hardware are really gonna make justifying a PC upgrade VERY hard. Then again, they might just bring the price of PC hardware down down down. who knows. Then again, I only have a regular 720x480 TV, not an HD, so a PC is awesome.

Now I do however find it odd that people (like my buddy) are raving that the Xbox 360 adn PS3 will be able to do more than anything before it. I beg to differ. You could prolly do the same things (heck, i know you could) with a Geforce 6800 Ultra SLI array... but that'll cost you $1000 to get that (it's prolly less now).

I really need to upgrade my PC. I'm considering doing it soon. And not just my Radeon 9800 Pro. I wanna do the whole thing over.

But dang, these new consoles are insane. I wonder what they are gonna price for, cuz if it's under $300, PC users are being raped! dang!

Then again, let's wait and see. Wink The PC might just have some new tech that will blow the new consoles clear out of the water. It always seems to happen.
Fact is, these consoles are using hardware that is currently available (albiet high price) for a PC, so im guessing by the time these consoles are released, PC's are gonna be able to fly even higher.

It's gonna be a fun ride gentlemen. Cheesy

Apparently, the PSP has processing power superior to any home computer that will come down the pipe in the next six years.

The PS3, you mean.

Yeah, it's pretty nuts.  And the Cell processor has the capability to do some pretty amazing things.

So, here's some more info on the Revolution:  Instant backwards compatibility with all previous games for Nintendo consoles via an online service that you download them with.  It's also, supposedly, going to make up for its lack of 'punch' compared to the other consoles with some kind of 'revolutionary' feature, some kind of control thing.  Dunno what yet.

I doubt that fig. Wink I have one.

But I also doubt that the PS3 does either. Just wait. Wink
