When it comes to file transfers, I think AIM is the "best".

I use AIM, and it's ok.  I don't IM enough to have an opinion about which is best.

I merely consider AIM a necessary evil.

I'd definently say AIM, since it is the most used IM software out there.

Since I only use MSN Messenger and AIM, I'm going with Messenger.  AIM is the definition of suckness.

I have indeed. I bought a copy of 2.0 Pro.....and I tried 3.0 pro....loved it, but I don't want to have to pay for it again....and i don't really like 3.0 basic....and Gaim is pretty cool...so. Cheesy

Trillian 3.0 is nice though. Cheesy

AIM because just about everyone and their brother has it. And it's reliable and stable and all that good stuff, offers voice chat, video chat, etc etc and so on. All in all, despite the general suckiness of AOL itself, AIM is quite a fun one Smiley

A close second would be MSN messenger...if more people would get on it...since I speak to all of 2 ppl on it...anyway...

Anything would be fine....I agree, AIM is stable and has nice features...
-I hate the new AOL commercials-stupid and unoriginal...

Can't force myself to download Gaim.  Sounds too much like Gain. (gator advertising blablabla.)

I gues I will though.

It got Max PC's vote.  Though that was before Trillion 3.0 came out, they later compared the two and said GAIM was more stable.

I don't know that to be true, but it's worth taking into consideration.
