OK, i FINALLY got my laptop fixed.

Long story short, my laptop has been dead for like SOOO LONG... I lost all the music I wrote for Ian. Anyways, it's back, and I'm actually glad that it died cuz like...what i got now is better!

Behold: The First 1.5 minutes

It actually can't be synched with any of the video that you guys have seen so far because it starts a bit before the bridge sequence, but if Ian wants to try it out on his own computer, he can just throw "wakup4jeremy" into Premiere, then stick this mp3 into premiere. Make the beginning of the audio file start at 00:00:11:04 (11 seconds, 4 frames).

Lol! I was so eagre to watch it I didn't see your little comment about when I should put the clip.

DUDE! That sounds totally awesome!

I'm glad you got the link working!

I've already had a long talk with you about it, so I wont be redundant, but that's amazing! The audio cues match the video PERFECTLY!

I can't WAIT to hear the rest.

I will be purchasing these, first specifically for the use of Ideality, and second for any future movies I make/write soundtracks to. I don't have enough money to buy an Alesis QS8.x, however, I do have an Alesis DG8, and the DG8 supports the expansion cards that the QS8.x does.

I will be purchasing these (each one is about $50-$70 bucks on Ebay):

http://www.alesis.com/products/qcards/vinsynths_off.html

and

http://www.alesis.com/products/qcards/classical_off.html

Each product comes with a total of 384 programs (sounds) and 300 mixes... that's a total of 768 new sounds for writing soundtracks with (my keyboard currently only has 88 programs built in!!!!!!).

This is a huge improvement upon what I was using to write the soundtrack. I did feel kinda bad that I couldn't provide Unique Veiw with the full grade soundtrack that they are looking for, so I will be purchasing these to really lock down the awesomness of Ideality.

EDIT: Here's a sample of what the Q Cards can do:

Wow CC, that's sounds pretty good.

How many layers did you use when recording?

I didn't record those samples. Those are samples of what the QCards are CAPABLE of...

With that said, I use Adobe Audition to write my music (with my Alesis DG8 keyboard), so I use however many layers I need. haha.

But, I didn't record those samples, they are just proof of concept...

Although you are mistaken. You DO
Quote
provide Unique Veiw with the full grade soundtrack that they are looking for

I mean, who can listen to the stuff you've put up here and disagree? This is probably the best music I've heard for an Independent Film around these parts, IMO. At least that's come out recently (Oh, excluding Revelations. But they don't count. And I actually, for just sheer emotion behind your compositions, prefer yours. But hey, I've always been a fan of the simplicity and beauty of Strings and Piano)

However! If you would be using the music you buy for other things besides Ideality, then SWEET! However, I never expected any money to ever be spent over there on your end. And I certainly wouldn't want you to spend 150 bucks just for Ideality!

I hope you understand what I'm saying. It's not that I'm ungrateful, far far from it! -But I just hope you're not doing this because you feel that the soundtrack isn't "good enough". I told Nathan last night that you sometimes had doubts about how good your writing was, and he started laughing, until I guarateed him that I was serious.

I really hope you understand what I'm saying, cause if not, I sound really, like, arrogant and rude and stuff.

I must go barbeque burgers.

No no.  I listened to your first link, the one that said "The First 1.5 Minutes".  That was good.

I listened to the other stuff to, it was alright.

I'm not buying music, I'm buying new "sounds" for my keyboard..... 768 to be exact...i mean think about it...the possibilities are like, endless!!! (ok, not really, but they will be once I buy an even better keyboard and any future stuff.

Actually, jamball, I only used 2 layers at any one given time for that "1.5 minutes" thing up there. one for strings, the other for piano.

Wow, Jeremy, you have some serious composing skills. My name is Sean, I'm a friend of Ian's and ome of the stuff that Ian has shown me and what ive heard from this thread is just astonishing!

I also saw some of the music put to footage, and in this case, its surely one of the key factors to making this movie as good as it can possibly be. So, keep it up, its excellent.

Skills? no. See, what happened was, one day, I was doing this to myself:  :bangHead!:  seriously, and then I suddenly was like    my head hurts.... and then I was like.    .... then I was like    then I was like. :nerd:  and knew a ton of stuff about making music for ideality

See, what happened was, I got what is called medically, Inverse Amnesia, the term coined by Doctor J. Krakowski and Doctor I. Hubert. They realized that sometimes, you can hurt your head and instead of getting amnesia, you get the complete opposite. you actually LEARN stuff instead of forgetting it. That is what happened and the ideality soundtrack was bourne.  :peace:
