I have a question, and the question is 'What was the font used at the end credits of the Star Wars movies'? Also, if you can, I'd really appreciate a link to where I can download the font for free. Thanks

In Recon Squadron, I used Franklin Gothic Medium Cond, and it looks exactly like the real credits. One detail to be aware of is that the names are 20% larger than the titles (e.g. in "Directed by GEORGE LUCAS", "GEORGE LUCAS" should be 20% larger than "Directed by"). For the text color, I used R=28, G=165, B=225, and that is pretty close.

P.S.  I fixed a typo in the Subject line for you.

Thanks. Is that the same font you used for 'A Long Time Ago...' or is that something different?

I'll have to check on my other computer when I get home.  I'm thinking that they are both in the Franklin family but aren't exactly the same.  I'll look at the file when I get home.

I finally remembered to look this up.  For "A long time ago", I used ITC Franklin Gothic.  I used a 36 pt font with the leading set to 40 pt.  I also horizontally scaled the text to 96%.

Speaking of fonts, does anyone know what font's used for the subtitles in Star Wars (like in the parts when Jabba's speaking Huttese and such)? Thanks.

According to this article at Starwars.com, it is ITC Franklin Gothic Demi Bold, 69 point with -30 tracking.

There used to be an article on this on TFN...is it gone? It had all the exact sizes, colors, and fonts. And links to download them Smiley

Speaking of written stuff, what buttons to you press to get the copyright symbol? This is for the end credits.
