Well, besides filming until I died (we discovered we'd actually, over the past 5 days, filmed in every single hour of the day. I think. Yes.)

But I've been doing quite a bit of greenscreen work. I think I'm gonna see if I can get the effects group back up and running. We're ready to go!!!!

But besides that, I've been working on the trailer.

It's intense. And awesome.

In fact, I'm wondering if we should make it less awesome, as I don't think the movie could ever live up to the awesomeness which the trailer presents it as currently, which could lead to a lot of dissapointment.

Lookin' good Ian!

I love deadlines...

Particularly that whooshing sound they make as they go flying by...

Lol. Oh man.

Wait... what's that from? That's amazingly familiar.

Oh! That's right! Ford, from Hitchhikers.

How I love that book. Smiley

Ehh, again, don't get your expectations too high.

Remember, we're just some teens makin' a movie for a good time. If you watch it with that in mind, I think you'll enjoy it, but if you're expecting much more... I just don't want this to be anticlimatic. Smiley

I missed the mailman for today, but tomorrow first thing in the morning I'm putting the DVD in the mailbox.

Dang! I wonder how that's gonna work out. Cause tomorrow's Sunday.

We'll make something work.

Not to worry, Ian. Consider your audience: we're just some teens watchin' a movie for a good time.
Both parties will be made happy, I'm sure.

Ian...the Ideality trailer was awesome!

I've watched it like 5+ times now... B)

I like when the spider first comes in behind her.  I like the title at the end.

The music fits well.  All of the effects are awesome.  Good narration.

Sweet! Thanks! The new version is now posted. I think I'll start a thread.

And, since the old version was deleted, but I really like the image....

About the release, Ian has answered this before as basically sometime in the future. Its obviously a big project, so it is hard to guess when it will be done.

However, look for it coming to theBRB theater before the end of the year Wink

Rightly so!

For one that doesn't do these things - do you have to go through that process for EVERY frame in the shot, or can you automate it somehow?

(I do understand this question just shows how little I know about these things...)

The end result looks sweet, though!

Heh. Yeah, if you were to use a program like Photoshop (which could also do this effect) you'd have to do it to every frame (unless if you used filmstrip mode or something), but after effects is cool in that it allows you to make all these changes to every single frame in the video.

Which is nice.

With the program he's using, and most like it, no.

Adobe AfterEffects is the one a lot of people (including myself) like to use. It's like Photoshop in multiple frames. You add properties to and edit the entire video clip instead of one frame.

And I must agree: it's some pretty awesome stuff.

Edit:
Crap. Ian beat me to the explanation while i was typing.

Ian did you ever get that footage of Alexander doing his news address to the town (about sword terrorizing the city and whatnot) that we filmed in your house, imported??? JUST thought about that. I still have it but we had the whole "bad tape" problem...I can't really figure it out. I'm sure its a problem with the tape though...

I feel like there must be some way around it, because the footage is still there...something is just messing with it (remember we could see boxes with OTHER footage recorded later in the tape ontop of the footage of issac?)

remember?

Did we ever get that imported?
