Hello - my name is Troy Sterling Nies and I am a composer.  I was directed to this site by a filmmaker.  Examples of my work can be heard at www.troysterling.com

I've composed for a variety of genres, most recently horror (THE CALL OF CTHULHU) and sci-fi (THE ETHEREAL PLANE), although I am not limited to these stylisms.  Feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience.

best regards,

Troy Sterling Nies, composer

Wow, welcome to the site!  And I'm impressed with your site!

~Tyler, enjoying the interesting piano passages in one of the Cthulhu samples.

An IMDb user praising this "diverse" and "complex" music:
"Look at the incredible variety of themes he does - from Gladiator, a masterpiece, to Matchstick Men, a fun, jazzy style, then Pirates - a theme that moviegoers (however musically inclined they may be) will never forget. These scores are not only more diverse, but more complex as well."    :-\

Thank you for the welcome - I look forward to building on my creative network.  Hopefully there are filmmakers here in need of some original music...

I like your ambient electronic stuff, actually. I have an orchestral composer buddy, so I don't have a need for that, but this 'cryotube' file is pretty cool. Maybe a mix of Pretty Hate Machine-era NIN and Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works collection.

Don't have a use for it, but it is good stuff. I'll keep you in mind if I need anything, though.

EDIT: Added your ambient tracks to my iTunes playlist I go to whenever I'm thinking of temp scores.
