I did some tests today, so i'll post those as visual references.

Chelsea (my gf) helped, and you'll easily be able to tell which ones she did and which I did Wink

So... for this one, this is a shot of the office.
The main character is green, the chief of police (sheriffs?) is brown.
The green guy is behind a window, the chief is seen through a doorway. The door/walls will be opaque. This is semi-transparent for a more thorough drawing.
(sorry about the white line in it... something's up with the scanner...)
btw, the red thing is the doorknob, not a bullet wound or some such.

This one is a closeup of the chief. He is banging his hand on the desk. It's from the same scene.
Note the glasses and chubbiness.
Out the window (as above) you'll notice a mob scene. It may or may not be included due to where that window would actually point. You'll see a shot of the mob itself below.

This is the mob mentioned above.
The purple is a chain link fence (probly chicken wire for stop motion).
They are annoyed about counterfeit (sp?) money problems in the town. The police haven't solved the mystery yet.

This is the opening shot. (next is the closeup of the chief, then the shot of the office)
Since its the opening shop, and it fits, this will be a slow, slight zoom toward the building.

the building says "police", but may be changed to sheriff, depending on where it ends up being set.

This is the theater for the magic show.

The main character and his buddy will be sitting in the seats in front of the cam and chatting. The rest of the seats will be filled with an amazed crowd.

this is a closeup of the same image, of the magician and assistant.

note the mustache on the magician. I'm hoping for some kind of full-of-himself, accented voice.

the assistant is the typical female beauty at this type of event.

This is an image of the store setting. It will be a challenge, but fun, to create all the items for sale.
The main character (green) is buying an item. He's walking up to the register.

Dan, ive already talked to you about this, but lets see what other people have to say.

Instead of the building saying Police or Sheriff it should say

-Police Station
-Police Headquarters
-Headquarters
-Sherrif's Office
-Sherrif Station
-Sherrifs Headquarters

Something along those lines
