I just recieved a very late entry called "theemmmbvers.mov" that is 2352kb.
It won't open in QT, so unless someone can explain it and soon, then it's disqualified.
This could be a recompressed/alternate version of The Embers, but thats just weird.
There is no name or sending email.
Anyway, PM me soon or IM or whatever.

I thought i cancelled sending "theemmmbvers.mov" (catchy name, eh?).

Anyway, sorry about compression. I don't understand. I set everything to the correct levels but still the file's way too big and theres a really annoying hissing sound.

Hmmmmm.....

Just so everyone knows, compressing and uploading my film actually took longer than making it.  :|

It was a spur of the moment thing, but I think it turned out.... well.... yeah, well.

I think it turned out well.  Tongue

I liked Fig and Daniel's entry's the best.

Virtual reality-This film was an interesting idea, but I thought the camera motions were really jerky and it had weird cuts and cuts with frames between the cuts.Overall I was left with a yea ok... kinda feeling.

Journey to the Land of the Shimmyshabawawas-I thought this was a very weird film, but it was pretty d*** funny.I thought the characters were good and the story was weird but interesting. The only thing that really bugged me was the floating head thing,I don't know how long it took to make that,or how much time you had left, but James's head was cut off at the top and would have looked better with a little more time put into it.Besides that I thought the film was good. Smiley

The Adventures of Squid and Non-Robot-Ok wtf was that? lol It reminded me of my little niece and nephew.Needs better compression

The Embers-I liked the black and white,to me it made it seem more dark gritty.I really like all the sound effects, like the bags being dropped and picked up,things like that.I like the discussion between the soldiers, gives you more info that they know each other, besides the fact they are from the same unit or group.

The Secret of Life-It was a funny little adventure kinda film.I liked the all mystical person, making the rest of the guys look like idiots jumping off a hill.lol

Hit Me-Interesting story, love the music could have used more back story.

***Censored or ninety or whatever the name is-really funny, love the whole Censored thing.I found it kinda creepy though that this film almost has a line from every film that you can vote for.

Yeah. I'm recompressing. It should be better now. It also had an ending which I had accidentially deleted the first time, as I thought it was the credits and I was trying to reduce file-space.

Dang.

Dandylions taste gross.

Okay. The updated file is up. It's still not great compression, but it'll do (as in, it looks good, but it's 40 mb).

Hehehe...

Yeah.

The film took around three and a half hours to make.  Actually see, Daniel said, 'You gonna enter?"

And I asked how much time I had left.  He told me 2:15, but I really had another 1:38 plus that.

I slid in just a few minutes early.  Then, I began uploading on my slower than a fat lady's fanny Satellite connection.

That's pretty darn slow.  Tongue

And massive.  And ya know, bouncy.  And soft.  Like, imagine the best mattress in the world, with legs.

Yeah, so, Off topic.

Tongue

Now for the reviews I should have posted earlier.

Virtual Reality:  A bit slow, but overall a great concept.  The shot through the CD player was nice.  However, the audio and jerky visuals made the film a bit tough to watch. Smiley  Practice makes perfect though, and for 90 hours, this was pretty nice....

Journey to the land of unpronouncable slugs:  Uh, that was completely friggen' rockin'.  Except for all the boob jokes.  Yeah.  Those were um.... Really old by the end of the film.. Tongue  Great story, particularly because it includes Alaska, the tropical state off the coast of California.  Cheesy

Squid and Non-Robot:  Uh, wow.  This was interesting, without a doubt.  Haha, I need a better compressed version though...  Nice music 'Those silly aliens....'  AH!  I can't get that out of my head!  Tongue

The Embers:  Definitely the most stylistic of all the films here.  I'm very impressed with what you did in 90 hours, though the dialogue was kinda.... slow.  I guess.  And I didn't really understand the story.  It was pretty though...

The Secret Life:  Wow... Haha, this was as funny as Fig's, but a completely different style of humor... This one and Fig's tie for second behind.....  ***drum roll***

Hit Me:  This film was very good, despite the technical issues with the audio.  It was brief, to the point, had good actors (comparatively good, that is) and was a serious film.  Great Job!  Fix that cursed audio though... Tongue

***Censored***:  This film was obviously the lowest and most shameful of all.  The humor was dry, and you weren't even manly enough to really kick people.  That dude in the sheet was obviously gay, though the guy in the blue bathrobe was awesome.  So was the guy with the headphones over his eyes.  And the guy who hated that stupid 'For Dummies' book.  I hate those books too.  But yeah, that white sheet guy was obviously gay, and will haunt my dreams forever and ever and ever.  And what was with that crackling audio?

This film made NO sense, and you should stop acting like you know anything about film.

Oh wait....

Heh, maybe I was a little too honest with myself.... Tongue

L8r Folks!

Don't have time to download the films, I'm on a pay per minute line right now, but I just thought I'd clear up the head joke from JTTLOTS;

It's bad on purpose, yo. That's why I like it, I think, that and it's James saying his own echo...anyway, just a small aside.

Glad you guys seem to be liking it. Smiley
