Hey Ian! :woot: I have an idea that I read a while ago, just render out one of the propellors from an orthographic view as a looping animation with all of the motion blur you want, and then apply that movie to a plane within blender with transparent texture mapping, and replace the origional propellors with the transparent planes, that way it will render much faster, I'm not exactly sure how it will look, but hey! the advice was free, right? (I expect my payment by tomorrow night, or next time, it's not only your furniture that I'll rearrange.) ~Murphy~ SwEEEEEEEEEEET Job BTW..

VERY sweeet idea! That would indeed speed up render time! I actually tried that, but I couldn't figure out how to figure out the alpha channels. I must try again

Wow, Ian. Dude. That was awesome. A friend of mine did a thing with motion blur in Half Life 2 that was very interesting, involving AE and a Difference keyer. It was weird. All I know is it was interesting. You'd have to ask him about it. Anyway, I understood most of what you said in that long post too. I'm proud of myself. Ha! :peace:

Other side of the rock. You know, like, through the tunnel. It's not yet finished. It's where she parks. Not finished

God damn...I want to see that place in person. To bad it's not real except for Ideality...what that pic represents could easily be the final of it.

Hehe.
So I'm rendering out the animation yesterday (some frames taking as long as 15 minutes) and I stop it to check it out.
It's more than twice as fast as it should be.
So I slowed the whole thing down, and am now rerendering. After rendering from last night, it's on frame 112.
Of 500.
It'll be a long render. Aye. That it will. But it's speeding up. WHich is nice.
